Can I take money out of my business bank account?
The answer to this is always yes, but there are some exceptions that could create additional tax.If you are a sole-owned (or owned with a spouse) S-corporation, you can take money from the business bank account without additional tax concern as long as you don’t have loans in the business name.
In multi-partner situations, you can only take money from the business that aligns with your ‘Basis’, which is a combination of the personal money you contribute to the business and your share of the business profits.
