This article will guide you through the steps to delete an individual sub-account (Checking or Savings) within your Relay business account.
The original article can find here.
Before Deleting a Sub-Account
Before you follow the steps outlined below, please make sure that the sub-account you're looking to close has a balance of $0 and no pending transactions. If funds remain in the account, you may move any outstanding funds into another Relay sub-account or to an external bank account via ACH or wire.
Additionally, please download any statements you might need before account closure, as you will no longer have access to statements from that sub-account once it has been closed.
How to Delete a Sub-Account
- Sign in to your Relay account on your desktop.
- Navigate to the Accounts tab.
- Click on the individual sub-account that you wish to close (e.g., "Business Checking").
- Click on the three vertical dots on the top right-hand side of your screen.
- Click Delete Account [this button will be greyed out if your balance is above $0].
Please note that deleting a sub-account is currently only possible on a desktop and is not supported on the Relay mobile app.

You can open up to 20* sub-accounts within your Relay business account, up to 2 of which can be interest-bearing Savings accounts.
