To-Dos FAQ
The To-Do Tracker centralizes all your required actions in one place, so you can always see what needs your attention, what's in progress, and what's done without digging through email.
Getting Started
What is the To-Do Tracker? It's your central hub for everything Formations needs from you. Instead of action items scattered across emails, all tasks now live in your dashboard with clear statuses and deadlines so nothing slips through the cracks.
Do I have to do more work now? No. The scope of what we ask of you hasn't changed. To-Dos that previously came through email are now organized and visible in your dashboard. It's the same work, just easier to manage.
How is this different from the old To-Do list? The updated tracker gives you clear status indicators, better prioritization, due dates, and the ability to message us directly within a To-Do. You now have full visibility into what's pending, under review, or complete at any time.
Understanding Your To-Dos
What do the statuses mean?
- Action Required — We need something from you. These appear on your dashboard widget by default.
- In Review — You've submitted what was needed and our team is reviewing it.
- Completed — The task is finalized.
How do I see all my to-dos, including completed ones? Your dashboard widget only shows tasks in Action Required status. To see everything, including In Review and Completed tasks, click "See All" to open the full To-Do view, where you can filter by status.
How do I know what to complete first? Your to-dos are automatically ordered by urgency, so start at the top and work down. If a task has a due date, treat that as your deadline.
Are due dates new? Some tasks now include due dates to help you plan ahead and understand timing expectations. If you anticipate a delay on something, reach out to us directly so we can coordinate.
Taking Action
Can I ask a question about a specific to-do? Yes. Many tasks include a "Message Formations" option that lets you ask questions directly within the task. This keeps communication tied to the relevant item and reduces back-and-forth email. If that option isn't available, you can submit a support ticket or email us directly.
What if I think a to-do doesn't apply to me? Use the "Message Formations" option within the task to let us know. We'll review it and remove or adjust it if needed. If messaging isn't available for that task, please create a support ticket.
What happens if I don't complete a task? The task will stay in Action Required and will continue appearing in your dashboard and weekly email summary until it's resolved. If you believe it doesn't apply to you, please notify us so we can take care of it.
Can I edit a to-do once it's marked complete? No. Once a task is marked Completed it can't be edited. If you need to follow up or add context, you can continue the conversation within the task.
Emails & Notifications
Will I still receive emails about my to-dos? Yes. You'll receive a weekly summary of any outstanding To-Dos as a reminder. Your dashboard is the primary place to manage and complete them, but the emails are there to keep things on your radar.
